Raised in the Ethnic Aisle is a product line created for my senior design showcase. Meant to highlight how grocery stores remove all life from cultural recipes, the titles of each product reflect inside jokes attached to each ingredient. The design, inspired by papel picado (decor used as a guide to the land of the living during day of the dead) invites those erased by the “ethnic” title back into the narrative. These products  are designed to be vessels for culture to live beyond the shelf.
