Don’t Tap The Glass Redesign
Graphic design - Music Campaign Redesign
For this project, I reimagined Don’t Tap the Glass by Tyler, The Creator, designing a full visual identity that included an album redesign, merchandise pieces, and ticket concepts. The collection was created to work both as online merchandise and as part of a VIP package experience. My goal was to reflect the album’s energy—playful yet dangerous—while capturing the eccentric, self-aware personality that defines Tyler’s creative brand.
Personal Project - 10/2025
I developed a cohesive system of visuals that balanced humor, tension, and bold design (as Tyler does in his music). The collection included a t-shirt, a tour poster, city-specific posters, and an adhesive mustache pack inspired by Tyler’s recent mustache era and his fans’ love for embodying his characters. I used playful slogans like “Can’t tap the glass? Tap into Tyler’s new look.” and “All are welcome to dance, just DTTG” to keep the tone light and connected to his fanbase’s culture.
Visually, I built the series around a blue and yellow color palette, drawing inspiration from caution tape to mirror the sense of warning in the album’s concept. Throughout the designs, I incorporated cracked-glass motifs to suggest defiance and interaction, as if someone ignored the warning not to tap. The album cover features a zoomed-in, surveillance-style portrait of Tyler with the title reflected in his glasses, creating a sense of closeness and unease. Across all materials, I used Swiss 721 Black for its bold, commanding presence, reinforcing the idea of confidence and control that runs through the the title Don’t Tap the Glass.
